Charvet Wool Pullover Jacket

Charvet Wool Pullover Jacket
Charvet was established in 1838 in Paris as the world’s first shirt shop. Its international reputation soon grew, with illustrious customers including royalty and presidents. Like Hôtel Ritz just across the street, Charvet, known for offering the finest men’s shirts and ties in the world, has long become an institution of Place Vendôme.
The label on the jacket reads “Charvet et Fils, 18 East 53rd Street, New York,” indicating that it was purchased or commissioned from Charvet’s New York shop, which operated until the mid-20th century. A vintage Charvet jacket like this is exceptionally rare and highly sought after.
